Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Attacks, Risks, Threats & Warfare

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Attacks, Threats & Warfare. | The Unmitigated Risks.

Why Must You Care?

What Are Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPCyber™) Attacks, Risks, Threats & Warfare?

MLi Group chairman Khaled Fattal created the terms Poli-Cyber™ and Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPCyber™) in 2012 because of seismic events he had observed happening in prior years which he writes about in depth and detail in his International Best-Selling Book, “Survivability”. (See info at end of this page.)

Fattal also observed that consequences will be economically and politically devastating on stakeholders worldwide if these events and their trend continued happening and growing without being adequately understood and effectively mitigated. He also believed that this “Failure to Mitigate” will challenge governments, businesses, regulators, and society’s top decision makers everywhere.

Fattal also believed that regulatory frameworks as well as governments and organizations governance oversight will also fail to mitigate them forcing an urgent need for a critical change in security, cyber and continuity strategies, models, and solutions forever. His vision was steadfastly affirmed with his philosophical belief that: “If you cannot name the threat, you cannot mitigate that threat”.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ – Origin & Definition

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ attacks and actions are political, ideological, terrorist, extremist, ‘religious’ and/or geo-politically motivated attacks / activities. They are risks and threats that cyber security strategies and solutions continue failing to mitigate, defend and protect national sovereignties and corporate entities, on unprecedented scales, and with devastating consequences.

Significantly More Sinister & Destructive Than Financial Motivations

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ motivated attacks and events are significantly different from financially motivated cyber-attacks in damage, scale, magnitude as well as in risk mitigation strategies and solutions.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ motivated attacks and events can have dire direct & indirect impact on nation states, organizations and their stakeholders.  This is especially so on citizens’ lives and livelihoods.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Motivations, Mitigation Strategies & Solutions

MLi Group chairman Mr. Khaled Fattal has been involved in the global infrastructure of the Internet and its security and stability since the mid 90’s.

In 2012, Fattal and his MLi Group embarked on creating the ‘Survivability Strategies™, Solutions, Services and Protocols to mitigate Geo-Poli-Cyber™ risks that go beyond strategies and solutions that were followed back then and continue being followed today. MLi has continued evolving and improving its Survivability Strategies™, Solutions, Services and Protocols ever since.

Vindicated Vision & Predictions

Today, national and corporate resiliency, continuity, and cyber security strategies and solutions keep failing on unprecedented scales in defending and mitigating alike – yet they continue being followed and relied upon like gospel by national and corporate leaders to the detriment of all stakeholders.

Fattal has been vindicated with his 2012 visionary prediction that GPCyber™ attacks will lead to unprecedented and unmitigated events that have become routine occurrences, and a fact of today’s daily life.

The accuracy of the prediction he made back in 2012 that cyber security solutions designed to mitigate financially motivated cyber attacks will fail to mitigate Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPCyber™) motivated ones is well documented.

However, creating and offering an unrivalled solution is what Fattal is often thanked and celebrated for.

Ransomware often a Decoy to More Sinister Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Motivations

MLi Group has documented specific incidents where financially motivated ransomware cyber attacks were used as a decoy for more sinister GPCyber™ motivations. Ask us to address this factor when you submit your request for a confidential private briefing.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Perpetrators

Some of the Key perpetrators of devastating, debilitating and destructive GPCyber™ motivated attacks and events are the new breed of extremist and terrorist groups, lone wolves, and rogue states amongst many others.

Some GPCyber™ perpetrators are often directed or sponsored by national security agencies of not only enemies but ‘presumed allies’ who can often cause more damage than adversaries or enemies.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Perpetrators’ Goals

GPCyber™ attacks are often aimed at coercing, altering or damaging the economic fate and/or the political directions of nations and organizations.

Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Warfare – A New Threat Vector

Today, nations, governments and businesses worldwide are under threat and exceptionally exposed to Geo-Poli-Cyber™ warfare. It is possibly the most devastating of threats and which remains highly unmitigated and poorly understood by national and corporate leaders, as well as regulators. The Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Warfare Threat Vector has escalated significantly in recent years, as witnessed during the Armenia-Azerbaijan war (2020 & 2023), the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war (2022 – Present), and most recently, the Israel-Gaza war (Oct 2023 -Present).

MLi Group predicts that the Geo-Poli-Cyber™ Warfare Threat Vector will escalate exponentially in coming months and years due to the evolutionally speed at which AI and new technologies are emerging and which will widen the Un-mitigation gap even further.

National Sovereignty & Corporate Security | New & Unmitigated Risks

Organizations and governments all over the world that allow themselves to remain seriously unmitigated against Geo-Poli-Cyber™ (GPCyber™) Attacks, Risks, Threats & Warfare are increasing the likelihood of potential catastrophic events being perpetrated on them, their stakeholders and society overall.

Such compromises will not only seriously damage their corporate and national security, but also their ‘Effective, and Competitive Advantages” as well as their “Sovereign and Corporate Survivability”.

What Is Geo-Poli-Cyber™?
MLi Group created the terms Poli-Cyber™ and Geo-Poli-Cyber™ in 2012. Geo-Poli-Cyber™ hacks are political, ideological, extremist, and ‘religious’ motivated attacks. They are the hacks that cyber security, resiliency and continuity strategies and solutions continue to fail to defend governments and organizations routinely. Key are the destruction/devastation motivated new breed of Geo-Poli-Cyber hackers and lone wolfs who are often directed or backed by not only enemies but presumed allies.
